Diablo II: Resurrected — Classic
Classic in Diablo II: Resurrected is the base 2000 game rebuilt for modern machines: four acts, the five original classes, and none of the Lord of Destruction content. The rules are the ones the original Classic realms ran on, hosted on the modern client with modern online services.
- Base game: Diablo II (2000), Blizzard North.
- Remaster: Diablo II: Resurrected, 23 September 2021, Blizzard Entertainment with Vicarious Visions.
- Classes: Amazon, Barbarian, Necromancer, Paladin, Sorceress.
- Acts: I–IV, ending with Diablo in Hell.
- Realms: Classic and Expansion characters have separate ladders and cannot play together or trade.
Every character is created as Classic or Expansion at roll time and can never be converted, which is why Classic keeps a small, committed population of its own: duellists, purists and speedrunners who prefer a game where a rare ring can still be the best item you own.
