Barbarian
The Barbarian is Diablo II's pure melee powerhouse — twin weapons, deep mastery of every arms type, and battle cries that buff himself and his party while breaking the enemy's will.
Skill trees
- Combat Skills — Bash, Double Swing, Frenzy, Whirlwind, Concentrate.
- Combat Masteries — weapon masteries plus Increased Speed, Natural Resistance and Iron Skin.
- Warcries — Battle Orders, Shout, Battle Command, War Cry, Find Item.
How he plays
Buff first — Battle Orders alone makes him the tankiest class in the game — then wade in with Whirlwind or Frenzy. Masteries decide which weapons he favours; Warcries make him valued party support even when built for damage.
Common approaches
- Whirlwind — spin through packs, the endgame standard.
- Frenzy — dual-wield speed and momentum.
- War Cry / support — Warcry damage or a Battle-Orders party anchor.
