Resistance Penalty Calculator
Your resistances are never what the sheet claims. Hell alone strips a hundred, and the mightiest foes tear away still more. Name the difficulty you walk, the scrolls Anya has granted you, your gear's wards and the enemy that faces you — and this reckoning lays bare the resistance that truly stands. The rules are those of Diablo 2 and hold true in Resurrected.
Each Scroll of Resistance grants +10 to all resistances — one per difficulty claimed.
The cap on effective resistance — 75 by default, raised by gear.
A preset foe fills the reduction below — or enter your own.
Effective resistance
| Element | Your resistance | Enemy −resistance | Effective |

The difficulty penalty is subtracted flat from your total resistance (Normal 0, Nightmare 40, Hell 100). Anya's scrolls and your gear add to it; the enemy's Conviction or Lower Resist tears it away. Effective resistance can fall below zero, and there it lets a foe wound you all the deeper. Conviction never touches poison — only Lower Resist does.
