Mercenary Weapon Speed

Mercenary Weapon Speed

A hireling is only as deadly as the haft in their hands. This table lays the elite polearms an Act 2 mercenary can wield side by side — how many blows each lands per second as increased attack speed mounts from none to a hundred and twenty, and the damage per second the base steel yields. Name a breakpoint and see who strikes hardest. The speeds are those of Diablo 2 and hold true in Resurrected.

The table steps in 5% increments, and some weapons cross a true breakpoint between two columns — so the speed needed may sit a touch below a listed value. "Average damage" is the base weapon's own; it takes no account of the mercenary's Might, gear or added enhanced damage, so the damage-per-second here compares bases against one another, not final in-game damage.
